Oh look, another geek box! What’s a girl to do? Obviously savor every precious thing in it!
Key chain and pin
Beautiful pouch that I have no idea what to do with
First sides of bookmarks and mini print
Second sides of bookmarks and mini print
Flick the Wick wax melt
Gorgeous artwork of Feyre and Rhysand
Is it any wonder I’m turning in to a lunatic over these geek boxes? They have such beautiful items! I need to start hanging up my artwork in my book nook. At the moment they’re just stacked up.
I know I’ve asked before, but have you ever ordered any boxes? This is my second from Dreamy and Co. and both of them have been amazing!
My first marathon medal
I may have sucked, but I competed in my first ever marathon! This marathon, where you can run either a 5K or walk 1M, raises money to support the Brunswick, OH area food bank. I was planning to do the mile walk with my husband and kids, but my kids talked me in to attempting the 5K. Poor choice….
Justice League of America
Costumes aren’t required, but any excuse to dress up is a good time in my mind. Our family theme this year was Justice League. We pulled my brother in to be our Superman too!
My brother, the former Marine, ran the 5K in 23 minutes. Not bad for someone that hasn’t done any running since last November when he separated!
Third fastest in his age range
My husband walked the mile, joined by our son when he gave up on the 5K. Our daughter finished around 35 minutes. There is a reason she wanted to be the Flash! My sad excuse for a Wonder Woman self completed it in 55 minutes. I feel I would have done better if I had started out walking to warm up. Shin splints are real and they suck!
Best Female Costume
I did win for having the best female costume. I will never be the fastest, but I can certainly own the best costume category!
Really looking forward to next year. I will actually prepare for the 5K, you know, practice running, stretch. Smart stuff!
Have you ever run a marathon? Are you one of those people that live for the runner high?
Month two of habit tracking and it’s funny to see how I do with different activities. Last month I did amazing with exercising and doing my yoga almost every day. This month I really fell off the wagon with it.
My sweet Zuko
I did much better this month on taking my dog on a walks. We managed almost every day after a weekend away for a wedding. It helps a lot that we have been having some beautiful autumn weather here! Although we did enjoy a few light showers during some of our walks.
Maintaining my social media (Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, character accounts) has gotten easier to do since I use my lunch hour to take care of those things.
I found something on Pinterest that said, “instead of saying you don’t have time, just say ‘it’s not a priority right now’. See how that feels”
That hit me pretty hard because looking at how much time I spend writing, it’s clear I’m not making it a priority. New goals for the month of October will include making writing more of a priority. You have to write if you want to be a writer!
Are you keeping track of any habits? Do you notice a difference from month to month?
